For Merging Companies and Advisers
At a recent conference a very senior competition official lamented that
“there are a lot of very poor submissions”
from merging parties and their advisers.
My seminars and workshops focus on
how companies can make their best merger case to the CMA
I currently run two training workshops that address this issue:
- The ‘Ten Charts On UK Merger Control That All Merging Company CEOs Should See And Discuss’
(A 2-hour workshop for those contemplating a UK merger investigation, drawing extensively on my unique UK case database)
For advisers and companies:
- ‘What Makes A Great Merger Submission To The CMA?’
(A 2-to-3 hour facilitated workshop for advisers, using case studies based on published merger submissions. Highly interactive.)
I am also regularly involved in the preparation and rehearsal of senior executives prior to key hearings.
For Competition Agencies:
A regular challenge for competition agencies concerns how to ensure officials ask merging companies and their rivals:
the right questions, at the right time, in the right way
I have run my Merger Questioning Skills course for competition agencies in several different countries, through my tried-and-tested one-to-two day programme. This covers both written and oral questions and is an highly interactive course.
Please do get in touch if you would like more information about any of the above.
